... Though we are a Christian organization but the women and girls aid department does not discriminate along religious lines especially in Burundi where poverty bites harder across the religion and political or tribal divide due to the 1993 genocide which left all communities devastated and much worse the rural.
(Picture of a family in Bubanza province in Burundi) Asking them to smile only made the woman to hide behind the man when they all insisted that they have nothing to smile about. They promised to smile when our programs will make their lives better. They own very fertile land but go days without food for lack of even the simplest farm tools let alone seeds. No amount of ‘fish’ will satisfy them but very little ‘fishing’ technique will sustain them for posterity.
The two women in this picture are widows who lost their husbands in the 1993 genocide. Wayward men took advantage of their situation and made false promises to marry them only to leave them with children they can’t feed. We have taken their children to school so that it may give them some hope. We took the picture from afar because they amazed us when they said the whole land we see is their rightful inheritage. The land is very fertile but they have no idea what to do so that they can benefit from it. All who came to utilize the land with a hope of giving them a little gain had no compassion and thus used the land and left with all the gains. Those who tried a bit only gave one week’s meal if not days.
We have church planting ministries as well as schools and healthcare departments. The church is the best organization through which we can channel development to the communities that once kill each other. This is due to the fact that it is easy to make Sunday a day of members meeting to deliberate on the need to raise their standard of life as the same day is spent on worshipping the creator and teaching reconciliation.
(Picture of members meeting at Bubanza province in Burundi)This is the structure that we at the moment can help the local communities to put up for church services and group members meetings at the rural as we currently straggle to raise the capital of our income generating activities for readiness to help built a bit better structures. Pray for us that it doesn’t start raining when either of the sessions is in the progress before you help our IGA!!
There are various activities that are both spiritual and economical that are useful for all our beneficiaries. The backbone of the MINISTRY OF SPIRITUAL COMPASSION ORGANIZATION is the training of every beneficiary to work with their hands, a thing that is noble, so that they can be able to give to those who are needy in their society. Not all people can be absorbed in the program but every beneficiary will be asked to share the gains with at least few members of their societies.
Women and girls department is the income generating activity section of the entire organization. This means that once this department is well funded then all the financial needs of the entire ministry will have been taken care of. All the other departments of the organization have both men and women in the top leadership but the women and girls departments have only women as leaders.

Here they are placing labels on the plastic containers ready to package various liquid detergents which they have just made. Andrew and Pastor Ernest have formula of several products which are fully explained in our product page. Here Andrew is training women on how to package after having trained them in the manufacturing of the detergent. Bernadette is the Chairlady of the women department mandated with the day to day running of the IGA. The two ladies in school uniform are in our school sponsorship program with a purpose of helping Bernadette to administrate the production department as all the rest in the department are not educated.
The women group mandated to run the IGA did not sit back and wait for a welwisher to donate special machines needed for production but rather resolved to using the ordinary household equipments for the job as they pray for the compassionate to assist them get the appropriate tools. Emelyne being the one in-charge of sales and marketing department is seen here inspecting the final product delivered at the small group’s shop.
